Canadian Country Music "Rising Star" Award Winner George Canyon Set to Perform Live this Saturday at "Wild, Wild West" Hoedown 2004
Canyon and Jimmy Rankin co-headline this year’s Hoedown, the largest charitable fundraiser in York Region. The 17 th annual Hoedown is set for this Saturday, September 18 at the Magna headquarters in Aurora. Additional live musical performances by Barnard & Brohm and Karla Crawford are also part of this Saturday’s festivities. "You don’t have to be a die-hard country and western fan to enjoy Hoedown," says SandraLev y, of Magna International Inc. and event director for the Hoedown. "Magna absorbs the cost of this event and donates 100% of the proceeds from Hoedown to local charities and not-for-profit organizations."Hoedown 2004 event tickets are $60 each and include a Texas-style barbecue dinner, dancing, cash bar, and a live and silent auction offering great items such as platinum tickets at the Air Canada Centre for a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game. The Prospector’s Raffle features over $85,000 in prizes, including a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Coupe, a trip to Vienna, a Las Vegas getaway and 6 cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Tickets for the Prospector’s Raffle are 3 for $20 and are available the night of the Hoedown.
