nashvi lle , tn Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles captured her first Grammy Sunday night for her duet with Jon Bon Jovi for “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.”

"Who's the lucky girl?” exclaimed Nettles.  “I do what I love for a living and everyday I wake up thankful for it. To be honored with a Grammy is a dream for any musician. Who would have thought that a little girl from Douglas, Georgia would one day receive a Grammy for country collaboration with a rock band?!  Truth is vastly more exciting than fiction!  Living proof.”

“Who Says You Can’t Go Home” took a life of its own in 2006. It went #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Singles chart and also received the award for “Best Collaborative Video” at the CMT Music Awards.  Other nominations included “Musical Event of the Year” at the CMA Awards and “Vocal Event of the Year” at the ACM Awards.

Sugarland’s sophomore record, Enjoy The Ride, has already achieved great success.  The debut single “Want To” went #1 on the charts and their current single “Settlin’” is in the Top 20 after only seven weeks and is quickly nearing Top 10.  It has also received platinum certification, for sales exceeding one million.

Sugarland exploded onto the country music scene in 2004 with Twice The Speed Of Life, which gave birth to mega hits “Baby Girl” and “Something More,” both of which reached #2 on the charts and received digital platinum honors. Twice the Speed of Life is certified double platinum and quickly nearing triple.
