Canadians will join viewers in over 140 countries in celebration of the life and work of Diana, Princess of Wales, on what would have been her 46th birthday. Organized by Princes William and Harry to mark the 10th anniversary of their mother's death, Concert for Diana proceeds will go to charities supported by the late Princess, and to charities of which the Princes are Patrons.

“It’s fitting that this very special and personal celebration of the life and work of the Princess of Wales will air on Canada Day on CTV,” said Susanne Boyce, CTV President of Programming and Chair of the CTV Media Group. “The Princess not only shared a birthday with Canadians but also an affinity for making this world a better place in which to live.”

Featuring a line-up led by Canada’s own Nelly Furtado (see complete performance line-up below), the Concert for Diana will celebrate one of the most honoured icons of our time. Tanya Kim and Seamus O’Regan will provide a unique Canadian perspective on the event, reporting live from Wembley Stadium during concert breaks, interviewing the performers and special guests and commemorating the special relationship Canada had with the late princess.

Concert for Diana reflects the fun-loving spirit of the late Princess and features performances by Fergie, Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry, Joss Stone, Pharrell Williams, P Diddy, Lily Allen, Kanye West, Rod Stewart, Natasha Bedingfield, The Feeling, Tom Jones, James Morrison, Orson, Status Quo and Take That, Will Young, Supertramp’s Roger Hodgson, the English National Ballet and a Broadway medley by Andrew Lloyd Weber.

In the days leading up to the Concert for Diana, CTV will provide comprehensive coverage of the concert event led by CTV’s entertainment brand eTalk. As well, CTV National News will provide on-site reports and Canada AM will feature additional Princess Diana programming. Finally, CTV.ca presents a Princess Diana microsite in commemoration of the late Princess’ birthday.
