Shane Yellowbird, winner of this year’s coveted Chevy Rising Star award at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA), was thrilled to find out that he will also receive a brand new truck courtesy of Chevrolet as part of the award.

Yellowbird, who tied for the most award nominations at this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards held on September 10 in Regina, was honoured to accept the Chevy Rising Star of the Year Award and looks forward to taking delivery of his brand new Chevy Silverado later this year. Winning the North American Truck of the Year was a perfect fit for Yellowbird considering he performed his hit song Pickup Truck during the show.
“It means so much to me to be recognized after so many years of hard work,” said Yellowbird. “I’ve always thought the Rising Star award was one of the most important awards at the Canadian Country Music Awards, so it is overwhelming to be taking home this award and receiving a brand new Chevy truck!”
