Movavi Software Buyers Beware!

Submitted By Marti Clayton

Feb 27, 2008

As I do a lot of video editing, etc. I thought Movavi appeared to be a useful and easy product to convert video formats, etc.  I downloaded their trial software when Movavi 4 was still the most recent product, liked it and then purchased it for $59.99.  As I mostly just edit video formats, I didn't actually try using their DVD creator...  that is until I paid another $39.99 for their Movavi 5 update.

Between the time I purchased the update and the time I tried using the DVD creator, I purchased another computer, uninstalled Movavi on the old computer and reinstalled it on the new computer (the price was only good for 1 license on 1 computer).  Now you'd think it would work after observing all the rules!!!

No chance.  I finally tried using the DVD creator this past Saturday because I wanted to send my parents a recent video of my dog.  I thought I would use a lightscribe DVD because I could do a nice label for it and they're not cheap!  I got the DVD burned and when I played it back, I literally saw RED!  Across the screen flashing in a nice red text was, "Movavi VideoSuite Trial. Please register"  Since I had spent $100.00 for the software, I was assuming I was beyond the trial!  I even checked and it said that I owned 1 license - in other words the copy was registered!

Needless to say, I sent in a support ticket on Saturday, on Monday, on Tuesday and even phoned Russia and left a voice message on Monday!  It is now Wednesday and the day is over in Russia.  I still haven't heard from them.

They advertise that some of the biggest companies in the world use their software on their website.  I wonder if those companies get a response if they need some help??????
