To those who didn't know, I had to send Chauncey, my standard poodle to a new home this summer.  It was a very hard decision to make but since I moved to Toronto, Chauncey hasn't had a backyard where he could run freely.  This created a big problem and now Chauncey is much happier in a house where he has a backyard to run around in.

Our home felt a great loss and we swore that there would be no other animals taking up residence.  Yesterday, we were asking each other what we wanted for Christmas and we both were in agreement that we should share the cost of a small, toy poodle.  After searching the internet for a recognized breeder, we drove to Keswick to check out a litter of toy poodles.

We instantly fell in love with the smallest apricot poodle and finalized the papers to take him home.  He will truly be a Christmas gift because he won't be ready to come home until Dec 22nd.

We have decided to give this little guy a BIG name so it's LEONARDO (not after di Caprio or da Vinci - after my room-mate - David Leonard Oke) CLAYTON-OKE.
