THE BUD STAGE -  IN THE PUMPHOUSE SALOON WILL BE ROCKIN’
NAZARETH & CHILLIWACK join the line up

Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, July 12–15, 2007, The Merritt Mountain Music Festival is pleased to announce Nazareth and Chilliwack on THE BUD STAGE.  THE BUD STAGE opens early on Tuesday, July 10, for early arrivers to the festival site, and runs through to Saturday, July 14.   On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, the music continues on THE BUD STAGE after the main stage closes with the â€کafter midnight party’.

Nazareth – Thursday, July 12
Nazareth was formed in December 1968 in Dunfermline, Scotland out of the ashes of semi-professional local group The Shadettes (formed in 1961) by vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny Charlton (ex Mark V and The Red Hawks), bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet. They took their name from the first line of The Band's classic song "The Weight" ("I pulled into Nazareth…Was feelin' half past dead...") The band released their self-titled debut album in 1971, followed by Exercises, Razamanaz, Loud 'N' Proud and Rampant.

Chilliwack – Saturday, July 14
Rising out of the ashes of psychedelia in 1969, Canada’s legendary Chilliwack released twelve albums over a fifteen year period producing numerous Canadian and International hits including “Lonesome Maryâ€‌ “California Girlâ€‌, “Communication Breakdownâ€‌, “Whatcha Gonna Doâ€‌ and “Don’t Stopâ€‌.  Now in their 35th year Chilliwack are still winning over young classic rockers and delighting long time fans.
