Little Miss Higgins, Pride Tiger, The Dudes and The Sadies
among nearly 70 artists confirmed to-date
Calgary, AB (February 27, 2008) - The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) held a media conference today to announce the exciting line-up of local events slated for Juno Awards Weekend set to kick-off on April 3rd, 2008. Among the events announced is the highly anticipated JunoFest, a two-night music extravaganza happening Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th, each night from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. (MST).
JunoFest will feature a multitude of acts including indie artists, hometown favourites and JUNO Award nominees across-the-board performing at various venues in downtown Calgary.
“There’s nothing like the live experience of seeing your favourite band light up the stage, and with scores of artists participating, there’s a good chance of discovering new favourites along the way during JunoFest,” said Melanie Berry, CARAS President.
JunoFest wristbands are $30 and will go on sale Saturday, March 1st at 10 a.m. (MST) at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at
www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling 403-777-0000. Patrons must be 18 years of age and older to attend. JunoFest wristbands offer priority entry and are subject to capacity.
