Azar Continues to Win Over Huge Crowds At Every Stop Along The Way
Nashville, TN - December 13, 2006 - Country blues rocker Steve Azar kicks-off the New Year with more dates added to the Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's enormously successful Face The Promise tour, with new dates extending through February 2007. The news comes on the heels of previous announcements that Azar was to join Seger on tour in November, and again in December for four sold-out concerts in the legendary rocker’s hometown of Detroit, MI. Azar, whose hits include, “I Don’t Have To Be Me ‘Til Monday,” “Waitin’ On Joe” and “You Don’t Know A Thing,” has been winning over crowds and wowing critics at each and every show with his high-energy set filled with rock and blues-tinged country music.
Rick Franks, President/North Central for Live Nation, the largest producer of live concerts in the world, has been equally impressed. "For a young guy, Steve Azar can be looked upon as one of the original throwbacks. As far as entertainment value, he and the band come out and play and within 15 minutes, they win over every crowd,” says Franks. “In addition, they are a pleasure to work with. Steve is a new veteran who will be with us for a very long time.”
Azar is presently on tour as one of the headliners for the GAC Country Music Christmas Tour. He’ll remain with that tour thru December 18 before his shows in Detroit on Dec. 20, 22, 28 and 30.
The soulful singer/songwriter will release a brand new album titled Indianola in early 2007. A new single, “You’re My Life,” is scheduled for release January 29.
