(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) If You're Going Through Hell, the second album and
breakout release from Curb Records artist Rodney Atkins, has been certified
gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 copies. The gold award caps
a winning streak for Atkins that saw his first single from the album, "If
You're Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows)," top the country
singles charts for four weeks in a row and the album hit #1 on the Billboard
country album chart and #3 on the Top 200 chart of albums from all genres
the week it was released.

Meanwhile, Atkins' momentum continues to build as the album's second single,
"Watching You," continues up the Top 15 this week. And even when "Watching
You" entered the Top 20 a few weeks back, "If You're Going Through Hell"
regained its bullet to reenter the Top 10 the same week.

The video clip for "If You're Going Through Hell" also had its chart-topping
run, spending three weeks at #1 on Country Music Television¹s Top 20
Countdown. The clip was also nominated by GAC as one of the Top 50 videos of
2006, which viewers are currently voting on at the GAC website. Atkins
followed it with a clip for "Watching You" in which he co-stars with his son
Elijah, who inspired the song.

The cumulative chart success of the album and singles has certainly changed
Atkins' life in recent months. "This time last year I was delivering
firewood to Alan Jackson," he says. "Now we're doing shows with Alan
Jackson."
