Johnny Reid, Moraine Music Publishing Singer/Songwriter, Goes Gold in Canada;

Nominated for 2007 Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year;

Hits the Road Opening for Martina McBride March 2008 Canadian Tour

March 22, 2008, Nashville, TN…… Nashville-based Moraine Music Group announced today that Scottish-born singer/songwriter, Johnny Reid, has struck gold (50,000 units) in Canada with his newly released CD, “Kicking Stones.” The album, produced by Grammy award-winner, Brent Maher, has also been nominated for a Juno Award for “2007 Country Recording of the Year.” The Juno Awards be broadcast live from Calgary, Canada on CTV Sunday, April 6, 2008.

Winner of the CCMA’s 2006 Rising Star of the Year and 2007 Independent Male Artist of the Year awards, Reid has had a string of chart-topping singles and videos in Canada including “Darlin’,” “Love Sweet Love,” “Kicking Stones,” and the current single, “Thank You.” Reid hits the road in late March opening for country superstar Martina McBride on her Canadian winter tour.
