Jason Michael Carroll Hits the Road with Trace Adkins

“I Can Sleep When I’m Dead” Getting Great Reviews as Performance Footage Airs on the ABC/Good Morning America Website 

Nashville, TN – With two back-to-back, Top 5 smash singles to his credit, Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2007, Jason Michael Carroll, is new on the charts with “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead,” from his chart-topping debut disc, Waitin’ in the Country.  Already attracting rave reviews and double-digit radio adds this week, the new single is just part of the buzz continuing around Carroll, who joins the Trace Adkins tour later this week, hits the Windy City for a Valentine’s Day performance on WGN Television, and finds himself among the CMT Music Awards’ first-round nominees for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year. 

Following the chart success of “Alyssa Lies” and “Livin’ Our Love Song,” Carroll’s latest single is new on the airwaves and already attracting media praise from Music Row’s Robert K. Beginning this Friday, February 15, in Toledo, Carroll kicks off a string of dates opening for Trace Adkins’ American Man tour.  One day earlier, on Valentine’s Day, Carroll will be in Chicago opening for Phil Vassar at the Chicago Theatre and appearing on WGN-TV’s News at Noon, for a visit that will include performances of “I Can Sleep When I’m Dead,” as well as “Livin’ Our Love Song.” 

A former CMT Top 10 video favorite, “Livin’ Our Love Song” recently helped Carroll earn a slot among the preliminary finalists for the 2008 CMT Music Awards’ USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year.  Fans can vote online at cmt.com now through February 25 to determine this year’s final four nominees.
