NASHVILLE – When the Grammy nominations were announced by NARAS yesterday, country superstar Vince Gill received his 35th nomination.  “The Reason Why” was nominated in the category of Best Country Male Vocal Performance.  It is the single that launched the release of Gill’s hugely successful 4-CD set titled These Days.  Gill has previously won 17 Grammy Awards.

As the announcements were being made, Gill was on his way to Las Vegas where he will wrap up the 2006 leg of his critically-acclaimed These Days tour.  The tour will resume in early 2007.

Earlier in the week Gill was in New York City where he appeared on MSNBC’s “Imus In The Morning” and presented the veteran radio and television host with a gold album in honor of his support of These Days.  Gill determined that Don Imus should be the first to receive one of the gold plaques because of his huge support of this latest project.
