FLYING HIGH & ON THE FAST TRACK FOR LITTLE BIG TOWN
The band joins the Blue Angels, Sings the National Anthem at the Southern California Speedway and Performs live on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Nashville, Tenn. (Feb. 22, 2008) - Platinum recording artists, Little Big Town, will seriously be looking for A Place to Land this weekend when they join the Blue Angels in their F/A-18 jets. The Blue Angels represent the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and perform air shows in El Centro, Calif. Little Big Town will be captured on camera as they are flown in a six-jet Delta formation which will later broadcast on CMT. As if that alone wasn't enough excitement, the foursome, with babies in tow, are off to the races at Southern California Speedway for a racing double-header. The group will be gracing race fans with their rock-solid harmonies during the National Anthem before the Stater Bros. 300 NASCAR race and the San Bernadino County 200 NASCAR truck series which follow. On Monday, after a day of rest, aka shopping and star gazing on Oscar night, the band will be performing "Fine Line" on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The show airs 12:35 PM ET/PT. Little Big Town is Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads-Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook. Their album, A Road to Here, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album in 2006 and they were the 2007 CMA Vocal Group of the Year and the 2007 ACM Top Vocal Group. Their latest album, A Place to Land, was released in the fall of 2007 and has garnered significant critical acclaim and solidified them as one of the most exciting groups in country music. The group is currently touring with George Strait.
