STEVE AZAR ROCKS NEW YORK'S MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
Concert Dates Are Extended Through March 2007
Nashville, TN January 30, 2007... Country blues rocker, Steve Azar recently received a standing ovation from a very enthusiastic sold-out crowd at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York City. Azar opened the show for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, whose Face The Promise tour has been ranked as the #1 tour in America by Pollstar. “I've always imagined how cool it might be to someday perform at Madison Square Garden, where so many of my musical influences have played over the years,” explains Azar. “But actually being there -- on the same show with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band-- was truly a great night that I will always remember!” Azar has also been invited to remain on tour with the legendary rock star, with dates extending through March 2007. What started out as a few dates back in November, has now turned into a 5-month gig for the Mississippi native who has been impressing critics and gaining even more fans at each and every concert. In the spring, Azar is planning to release Indianola, his new album on his own indie label, Dang Records. But for now, fans can purchase advance copies of the CD exclusively at his concerts with Seger. ExxonMobil will continue to sponsor Azar’s tour dates throughout 2007. Founders Federal Credit Union will serve as an additional sponsor for Azar’s remaining tour dates with Bob Seger & Silver Bullet Band. For more news and concert information, visit www.steveazar.com
