Shane Yellowbird Hitting the Road with Paul Brandt
2007 CCMA "Chevy Truck Rising Star" award winner Shane Yellowbird will be heading out on the road this fall with country superstar Paul Brandt. Yellowbird will be performing on the eastern leg of Brandt's tour. Those dates include:
Nov 5th - Ottawa, ON
Nov 7th - Sarnia, ON
Nov 10th - Toronto, ON
Nov 12th - Brantford, ON
Nov 13th - Belleville, ON
In the wake of his recent success, Yellowbird sees this as an opportunity to keep the momentum going.
"Having the opportunity to play with someone like Paul Brandt is just unbelievable," says Yellowbird. "I'm really grateful for the response I've gotten from the fans so far, and I'm looking forward to getting on the road with Paul and continuing to put my music out there."
Shane Yellowbird Nominated for Three Western Canadian Music Awards
The 2007 Western Canadian Music Awards are quickly approaching-- and following a successful run at the 2007 CCMAs, Shane Yellowbird has been nominated in three categories at the WCMAs this year, including:
Outstanding Country Recording of the Year
Video of the Year (Pickup Truck)
Outstanding Aboriginal Recording of the Year
Still riding high from his CCMA win, Yellowbird is ecstatic at the response he has received from the fans and the industry.
"You work hard for a long time, and when things like this suddenly start happening, it's hard to believe it's real," says Yellowbird. "I'm really humbled by all of it, and I just want to appreciate and enjoy every minute."
The 5th Annual Western Canadian Music Awards will take place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan October 18th-21st.
Hot off the taillight of his national Top 5 single and #1 video for "Pickup Truck", Shane Yellowbird is back with an exciting new radio single and music video - "I Remember the Music".
His recent CCMA Chevy Rising Star triumph in Regina places Yellowbird in the illustrious company of such past winners as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Emerson Drive, and George Canyon. "I Remember the Music" is destined to be Shane’s next consecutive smash from his dazzling debut "Life Is Calling My Name" CD, produced by this year’s CCMA Studio of the Year – Bart McKay Productions.
The new single will be delivered to DMDS and ready for release on September 24, 2007.
