As the Canadian Country music industry heads to Regina, SK for the annual CCMA Awards, Jason Blaine’s journey is not only high above the clouds but also on top of CMT Canada’s video chart as ROCK IN MY BOOT hits the #1 spot today!

Blaine’s journey to Saskatchewan is a homecoming of sorts. Directed by Tony Hrynchuk for Fahrenheit Films, the video was shot in a local gravel pit on the outskirts of Moose Jaw, SK in mid-April and served as the perfect location for the raunchy, upbeat feel of the song.

Penned by Blaine and co-producers Noah Gordon and Phil O’Donnell, ROCK IN MY BOOT has been receiving tremendous support from CMT, country radio and fans from across the nation, culminating in the chart topping success today. Phil O’Donnell had this to offer...”Working with Jason has been a blast. He’s a star just waiting to shine and in my opinion, this feels like the front end of something GREAT!”

Originally from Pembroke ON, Blaine relocated to Nashville in the fall of 2006 where he was promptly signed to a long term publishing deal with New Millennium Music/Anchor Down Entertainment and writes on a regular basis with some of the best writers the industry has to offer while maintaining a busy live performance schedule as well.

Nominated as 2007 CCMA Rising Star, look for Jason Blaine in a presenter’s role on the Awards Show to be broadcast on Monday, September 10th at 6:00 PM (EDT). Directly after that, Jason hits the road again with his good friend Aaron Lines for Moments That Matter tour dates throughout October and November.
