CMT Loaded To Let Fans
Take The Wheel
NASHVILLE, TENN - (July 30, 2007) -- Country music star Dierks Bentley is taking his "Free & Easy (Down The Road I Go)" video through unchartered territory this month through exclusive online programs with both Yahoo! and CMT Loaded.
Two unique versions of the video, which was directed by Charles Mehling and filmed on several dates of Bentley's spring "Live & Loud" tour, first premiered on Yahoo! in mid-June. The two versions faced off against each other in a fan voted competition receiving an overwhelming number of voter response and as of last week, 58 percent of voters had chosen the same version currently being played by CMT and GAC. The program was the first of its kind for Yahoo!.
Bentley will also partner with CMT Loaded to star in country music's first viral music video using fan-created video content. The singer/songwriter and his band recently shot a third version of "Free & Easy" in front of a greenscreen, which allows viewers to upload their original background footage, animation and special effects. The videos can be submitted to CMT.com for a chance to be shown on the CMT Top 20 Countdown and CMT Loaded. More information is available on www.cmt.com.
