On a Roll atop the Country Sales Chart, Paisley Scores More Consecutive Weeks at #1 than Any Artist this Year!

Nashville, TN – Multi-Platinum hitmaker and ACM Top Male Vocalist Brad Paisley has a tiger in the tank with his latest Arista Nashville disc, 5th Gear, which claims its fourth consecutive week atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums sales chart.  Debuting with a career-to-date high of 197,151 first-week copies, Brad’s latest has already moved more than 377,400 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

With the most consecutive weeks at #1 of any country artist this year, Paisley’s four-week streak also marks the longest consecutive chart-topping run of any country male since Toby Keith with Honky Tonk University in May and June of 2005.

Paisley recently hit #1 with 5th Gear’s first single, “Ticks,” which became his eighth career chart-topper and fourth consecutive single to hit the chart summit.  Brad is on the airwaves now with “Online,” currently Country Aircheck’s most-added new single and already approaching the country airplay Top 30 after only four weeks on the charts.

5th Gear is the acclaimed follow-up to Paisley’s Double Platinum ACM and CMA Album of the Year winner, Time Well Wasted
