I'm just standing on the edge of the brink
I will not go quietly
I'll tell you what I think, yeah.

Phil Vassar, "This Is My Life"

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Chart-topping singer and songwriter Phil Vassar pulls no
punches on his new single, "This Is My Life." Country music's hard-charging
piano man turns a new musical page as he takes on gas prices, corporate fat
cats, media talking heads, Democrats and Republicans in a working man's
anthem that screams, "Can you hear me? This is my life and I want it back!"

Vassar's sentiments are already hitting home with music fans, prompting the
creation of the "Are You Fed Up Blog" on the singer's website. Visitors are
blowing off steam on the site with missives in categories including gas
prices, education, health care and more. The blog is located at
www.philvassar.com/fedup/.

The song that started it all is the lead single from his next album, his
first for Universal Records South. "This Is My Life" will be featured on the
fall release and, as always, listeners can expect a full slate of songs from
Vassar's prodigious hit-making pen. Accomplished producer and Universal
South label head Mark Wright (Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack, Gretchen
Wilson) is producing.

One of the most successful songwriters in Nashville, Vassar penned megahits
for stars including Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina before embarking on his
own highly successful artist career. A succession of chart-toppers including
"Just Another Day In Paradise," "In A Real Love," "American Child,"
"Six-Pack Summer" and "Carlene" propelled his album sales and have become
staples of his high-energy, critically-acclaimed live performances.
