AMERICAN IDOL SEASON FIVE FINALIST BUCKY COVINGTON’S DEBUT CD IN STORES NEXT TUESDAY, APRIL 17TH
COVINGTON KICKS OFF RELEASE WEEK WITH NATIONAL TELEVISION APPEARANCES

Nashville, TN – April 12, 2007 – American Idol Season 5 finalist Bucky Covington will cross the country twice in one week for media appearances to kick off the April 17th release of his debut CD, Bucky Covington , on Lyric Street Records. 

It all begins on April 15th when Covington will guest host two special episodes of CMT Outsider , offering online viewers a man-on-the-street perspective to the CMT Music Awards. The first episode will release on CMT Loaded, CMT.com's broadband channel, on April 18th.

Covington will start the morning of April 16th with a satellite radio tour, then walk the red carpet of the CMT Music Awards before catching a plane to New York later that evening. On Tuesday, April 17th, the day his album releases, he will appear live on FOX TV’s The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet at 9:30 a.m. (EDT), for an interview and performance. He then spends the day in the Big Apple doing several television and radio appearances via satellite interview tours. That night, he jets to Los Angeles for TV appearances the next day.

On Wednesday, April 18th , Covington will tape an interview for AmericanIdol.com and then make a guest appearance on the TV Guide Channel’s Idol Tonight , airing that night at 8 p.m. (EDT).   From there, he heads over to where his dreams began - the set of American Idol , where Covington will appear in the audience during that evening’s live broadcast of the results show for country music week. After the show, he will tape an interview with American Idol Extra , which will air April 19th on the Fox Reality Channel.

On Thursday April 19th, Covington makes a visit to Ryan Seacrest’s show on KIIS-FM before heading back across town to the El Capitan Theatre to perform on ABC TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live . Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on Thursday, April 19th at midnight (EDT) on ABC.  The Kimmel appearance is an indoor concert and free tickets are available to the public at:    http://www.1iota.com/show.aspx?sid=1 .

On Friday the 20th, Covington flies to his home state of North Carolina for a concert date and CD signing, and then takes his bus to Harrisburg, PA for another show on April 21st. Following that gig, he rides the bus back to New York for an appearance on Sunday, April 22nd on Fox TV’s Fox & Friends morning show. Covington will be interviewed and perform on Fox & Friends at 9:50 a.m. (EDT) on the 22nd .

Bucky Covington will be released on Lyric Street Records on April 17th, 2007. The album is produced by Mark Miller and Dale Oliver.
