Nashville, TN (April 3, 2007) - Diamond Music Group recording artist Todd Fritsch has joined an all-star lineup for the 3rd Annual Houston Country Music Showcase on April 29. The event, which benefits CANDLELIGHTERS Childhood Cancer Family Alliance, begins at noon and will be held at the Tiki Bay Bar & Grill (2651 S Highway 146, Baytown, Texas). Fritsch and his band, Stampede, will perform at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include admission to the Silent and Live Auctions, as well as the evening's performances. Local favorites Brian Collins ("Statue Of A Fool," "Hello Texas"), Kevin Black, Cecil Shaw (Ray Charles, Anita Baker, The Fifth Dimension), and others will also appear.
All proceeds benefit CANDLELIGHTERS, and help fund an annual children's party in September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) and an annual family camp in October. The organization's practical support is given in the form of parking vouchers, meal passes to hospital cafeterias, grocery gift certificates, assistance with funeral related expenses, and cab vouchers. Todd's music has been a staple on both the Texas Music and national charts for the last two years with radio favorites: "Small Town Radio," "I Got Mexico," "I Don't Live Here Anymore" and "Every Honky Tonkin' Hero (Has His Day), and his current hit, "What's Wrong With Me, from his upcoming (April 17) CD, SAWDUST. His in-demand live show continues to break attendance records - most recently at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo last month, where he drew a crowd of over 93,000, and with the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra. CMT Loaded, AOL, YouTube and other TV and video outlets have logged in over 10,000 plays of the "tongue-in- cheek" video, which features baseball's superstar pitcher Roger Clemens and country legend Eddy Raven. Todd is pounding the pavement promoting his soon-to-be released CD, SAWDUST, with upcoming appearances including: Toyota Texas Bass Classic (4/15); Stafford Centre with Ronnie Milsap (4/28); COUNTRY THUNDER (5/27); Nashville's Ryman Auditorium (6/4) and CMA Music Festival (6/10).
