Largest Percentage Gainer on Country Album Chart

NASHVILLE , TN – Following her two-day stint co-hosting ABC’s The View and performing her autobiographical “I Wonder,” sales of Kellie Pickler’s debut album, Small Town Girl, climbed an astonishing 64%. That is the largest percentage sales increase on this week’s Country Album Chart. Digital sales of her song, “I Wonder,” increased an astonishing 1489%.

Sitting in for Barbara Walters, Kellie joined Elisabeth, Joy and Rosie to co-host the last two days of last week. On Friday, during the debut performance of her next single, “I Wonder,” a poignant and touching song about her mother, Kellie was unable to hold back the tears during her performance. The View co-hosts rushed to her side following her performance with tears in their eyes.

Reaction to her appearance was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Late afternoon Friday Denver’s KYGO played the song for their listeners and station programmer Joel Burke reported, “100% positive response!” The single, “I Wonder,” ships to radio early next month.

Her album, Small Town Girl, has been certified Gold and Kellie was surprised with her Gold plaque last week by Rosie O’Donnell on The View. Kellie was the best selling, new solo country artist of 2006.
