HIT RODNEY ATKINS SONG REMAINS HOT AS "HELL" "If You're Going Through Hell" Earns Top SESAC Honors

New single, "Watching You," Continues Rapid Rise And Hits Top 15
(Nashville, TN) Following a four-week run at #1 on the Billboard country
singles chart, the Rodney Atkins single "If You're Going Through Hell
(Before The Devil Even Knows)" continues to generate heat as the year-end
season begins. Last week, it was awarded Song of the Year honors at SESAC's
annual country music awards ceremony. The performing rights organization
also awarded the song's co-writers Sam and Annie Tate Songwriter of the Year
trophies.
As well, the video of "If You're Going Through Hell" was nominated for GAC's
Top 50 Videos of the Year. Voting for the year's best list is now underway
at the GAC website: http://www.gactv.com/gac/pac_ctnt/text/0,,GAC_26058_53997,0.html. The clip
for "If You're Going Through Hell" also had a three-week run at #1 on
Country Music Television's Top 20 Countdown.
The song is a contender for most-played country single of the year. It
recently regained its bullet to leap back into the Top 10 while Atkins' next
single, "Watching You," entered the Top 20 the same week.
"If You're Going Through Hell" has made Atkins one of country music's
breakout acts of 2006. The single's initial chart showing helped the album
If You're Going Through Hell hit #1 on the Billboard country album chart and
#3 on the Top 200 chart of albums from all genres the week it was released.
Meanwhile, "Watching You" Â a song Atkins wrote about his son Elijah, who
stars in the recently-released video clip  hit #15 this week on Mediabase's
Country chart.
