As you know, Emerson Drive were chosen as the opening act on Shania Twain's Ontario dates

I guess the feedback has been so positive (after just 2 shows) that they have now been asked to open on the rest of the Canadian dates  (Calg/Edmt/Vanc).   Mutt Lange apparently paid them a visit in their dressing room and voiced how happy they were to have E-Drive on the tour.  (Mutt wrote "Only God" - their last single)

Everything is falling together, with these Shania tour dates, their very recent CCMA win for "Group of the Year", and of course the brand new CANCON single "Waitin' on Me"

EMERSON DRIVE

Alberta's Emerson Drive are the current CCMA Group of the Year for the second consecutive year and the 2003 Academy of Country Music's Top New Vocal Duo/Group.  Emerson Drive is also the coveted opening act on several Shania Twain Canadian tour dates.

Emerson Drive's self-titled debut album was Juno-nominated for Best Country Recording earlier this year.  Their first two singles, "Fall Into Me" (produced by Richard Marx) and "I Should Be Sleeping" both peaked in the top 5 on the Billboard and R&R Country Singles Charts and were Top 10 hits in Canada.

Their latest single  "Waitin' On Me" was co-written by lead singer Brad Mates and can be found on their new album which will be released in early 2004.
