CAPTIVATING COMBOS ADDED TO “2005 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” And Santana Featuring Los Lonely Boys Added to Line Up A quartet of intriguing musical pairings have been added to the line up of performers for the “2005 American Music Awards,” airing Tuesday, November 22 on Added to the list of performers for the 33rd annual special are: Bow Wow, Omarion & Ciara who will perform a medley including the current chart hits “Let Me Hold You” and “Like You”; Cyndi Lauper with special guest Sarah McLachlan performing Cyndi’s classic “Time After Time,” which is included on her forthcoming album “The Body Acoustic”; Pharrell brings along Gwen Stefani and they will perform “Can I Have It Like That” from his forthcoming “In My Mind” album; and Santana with feature Los Lonely Boys in his performance of “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love” from his newly released “All That I Am” album. They join previously announced performers Mariah Carey, Kenny Chesney, Sheryl Crow, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, The Rolling Stones, Rob Thomas and Keith Urban on the show, which is a presentation of dick clark productions, inc. Hosting the 33rd annual special is Cedric “The Entertainer.” Also scheduled to appear on the show as presenters are cycling champion Lance Armstrong, Toni Braxton, Ryan Cabrera, Chingy, Australian songstress Delta Goodrem, Nick Lachey, Jesse McCartney, Sean Paul, Nicole Richie, LeAnn Rimes, “Phantom Of The Opera”’s Emmy Rossum, “American Idol”’s Ryan Seacrest, “Jake In Progress”s John Stamos, Sugarland, “Night Stalker”’s Stuart Townsend & Gabrielle Union, and Gretchen Wilson. Additional talent will be announced at a later date. The “American Music Awards” honor the past year’s elite in contemporary music as voted by record-buyers. Awards will be presented to top artists in Pop/Rock, Country, Soul/Rhythm & Blues, Rap/Hip-Hop, Latin Music, Contemporary Inspirational, Adult Contemporary and Alternative Music. Executive Producer of the “2005 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” special is Allen Shapiro. Producer is Larry Klein, with Jeff Margolis directing. Writers are Barry Adelman and Fred Bronson.
